Rust in Peace !

The lightweight alloy wheels produced by OXIGIN Leichtmetallräder are renowned for their cutting edge fashion statements. Despite this penchant for design innovation, OXIGIN also have a strong sense of history, and the Shabby with Shiny look of their Ford F100 show car represents a unique blend of past and present.

OXIGIN chose an American Ford Panel Truck from 1956 as the basis for their new brand ambassador vehicle, and the body of this post-war truck features the rusty look with the OXIGIN logo in orange flames emblazoned on the sides. The same contrasting glossy orange treatment is applied to the door mirrors.

Squatting on its lowered suspension, the truck features OXIGIN’s OX18 Concave-wheels in Black Full Polish finish in 9×21-inch ET18 and 11.5×21-inch ET32 sizes front and rear respectively, shod with 245/35ZR21 and 325/25ZR21 Pirelli P Zero rubber. To give the car the maximum possible attitude, 50 and 60 mm spacers push the wheels right to the edges of the big arches.

Both the power and typical US muscle car soundtrack of the 4.2 litre V8 motor have been enhanced thanks to an Edelbrock carburettor breathing through a sports air filter and a custom exhaust.

The cargo space of the truck is decked out as a media centre with a wooden panelled floor. A large flat screen monitor shows off the latest OXIGIN video clips, while examples of some colourful OXIGIN wheel designs are affixed to the walls and floor.
